Respect people
Do not harass, impersonate, threaten, exploit, or target other riders. Community features are for constructive motorcycle connection.
These terms set the basic rules for using The MotoJournal while it grows as an independent rider platform.
Do not harass, impersonate, threaten, exploit, or target other riders. Community features are for constructive motorcycle connection.
Use journal, garage, ride, Beacon, support, billing, and profile tools for genuine personal records and community participation.
Member support helps fund the platform. Recognition and billing features depend on successful Stripe subscription state.
You are responsible for the activity on your MotoJournal account and for keeping your login methods secure. Usernames, aliases, profile pages, public posts, messages, and support interactions must not be used to impersonate another person or mislead the community.
The MotoJournal can help organize ride plans, weather checks, routes, maintenance records, and Beacon sharing, but it is not a substitute for rider judgment, mechanical inspection, official road rules, weather alerts, or emergency services.
Do not use the platform while riding in a way that distracts you or puts anyone at risk.
Moto Health, maintenance intervals, weather, routes, and AI-assisted guidance are organizational aids, not verified mechanical diagnoses, emergency tracking, or professional advice. Unknown evidence is shown as unassessed and must be checked by the rider or a qualified professional.
You control whether a ride or Beacon session is private, member-visible, or public. Review the stated audience, pinned-place protection, timing, and browser limitations before sharing. Browser background updates may pause when a tab is suspended or a device locks.
You are responsible for what you post, share, message, upload, or submit. Do not post unlawful, abusive, deceptive, invasive, spammy, or rights-infringing content. The MotoJournal may moderate, restrict, archive, or remove content and accounts that harm the platform or its users.
Supporter subscriptions are billed through Stripe. A $5/month supporter subscription can activate MotoJournalist recognition. A $10/month or higher contribution can enable additional supporter recognition when the user opts in.
Billing management, cancellation, and payment updates are handled through the account billing settings and Stripe customer portal.
Some features use third-party services such as Google sign-in, Google Drive, Google Calendar, maps, weather providers, Stripe, and email delivery providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Google Drive and Calendar grants are explicit, separate from login, and should be granted only when you want those features connected.
AI-assisted reviews, publication drafts, maintenance research, and development advice are proposals that require human review. The MotoJournal does not authorize an AI tool to silently publish or change canonical rider records.
You can request a machine-readable export, deactivate your account, or schedule deletion from Your Data settings. Scheduled account deletion has a 14-day cancellation window. Supported record deletion uses a 30-day recovery window before permanent cleanup is considered.
Limited consent, security, moderation, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal evidence may be retained when required. The deletion review explains public-content treatment, subscriptions, connected-provider credentials, and retained evidence before you commit.
The MotoJournal is evolving. Features may change, be refined, be paused, or be rebuilt as the platform matures. We will try to protect rider data and communicate important changes, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.
Use the support page to ask for help, report a problem, submit feedback, or raise a community or account concern.
